ICE skating

we finally found Miss M some ice skates so she and Daddy could go and enjoy the HUGE ice rink
that is across the street from our house. Miss M did a pretty good job among all of the hockey players. (I guess the teenagers like to use it too). Miss A tried it out and thought it was pretty fun to slide, fall all over the ice. I however did not care for trying to collect her from the ice. So since she was all bundled up we headed to the play ground. She had a great time especially sliding down the slide into a big pile of snow.

Green Bay Fun

enjoying the first twinkle cone of the season! When I lived in Green Bay our house was right by the Dairy Inn. They had (and still have) the BEST ice cream cones. They put this delicious concoction of peanuts and sprinkles all over the ice cream. OH, I could go for one right now!
Miss A did NOT like the twinkle. But Miss M was ready for more. Visiting Green Bay is fun.

1. The WOW sign is a Pepsi sign. Miss M loves to spy them where ever we go - this one we were able to stop and get a picture at.
2 and 4. Miss A was eating a Reece's peanut butter cup it melted all over her hands and she decided to rub it in her hair. She smelt pretty yummy!
3 and5. GO PACKERS! I can not believe that I had never taken the girls to have pictures taken in front of the stadium.

by my Granny's house is a great park. I love to take the girls there to play. There is also a little kiddie pool (I played at when I was little I have so many great memories of this park and pool from when I was Miss M's age) it wasn't open yet this trip, but hopefully we will get there later this summer!

Crocodile Dock - Bible Camp

While Miss M was at camp - we got to spend one on one time with Ava - or work on other projects. (we spent a couple of nights working on the library at our church building) When it wasn't raining that week - Miss A and I went to the park. She had lots of fun having the park to herself.
We all have so much fun at bible camp.
Miss M has a great time with her fellow campers and learning
Old Testament stories and the fun songs.
Here are some pictures of the Bayou Bash the last night of camp.

My favorite memory of camp this year was Miss M sharing the bible stories with us. She reenacted the 10 plagues. Keenan also played with the band the last night of camp, and we all got to learn some fun new songs.

Happy St. Patty's day to ya!

We had a wonderful St. Patty's day! The weather couldn't have been more beautiful!
74 degrees - we will take it ANY DAY!
We met some friends at a park and enjoyed the weather.
I made a pot roast for dinner - sorry K, no corn beef for you...

When we were getting ready to leave the park, Miss A walked into a bush and really poked her eye, of course it happens right before we take a family photo. But it turned out OK anyway.

Hope your St. Patty's day was spectacular!

Barefoot In the Parks

(this was Tuesday the 12th)

(I am so glad Sarah had her camera I LOVE the pictures she takes!!)

We had a very full day. I like it when K's home and we can hang out and do things around the town.
We met some friends up at a fun little park it has a water fountain area, playground, hedge maze, lots of bench swings - and some of my friends what could be better!

After the park we came home did a quick change, packed a picnic dinner and headed over to an outdoor theater to watch the Barefoot Hawaiians. (of course I forgot my camera so no pictures) Some of our friends also met us there. It was fun to watch the show, chat with my friends one who just recently moved to Tennessee and happened to be back in town, another who K met at the Big Ka Hoo Na restaurant. My new friend Karrie and her kids. And old friends (Marie and Patrick) that we use to live by. Plus all of our O'hana at that Barefoot/Tiki Terrace. It was a VERY late night (we didn't get home until after 11) but the girls did great. Miss M had lots of fun with her friends and Miss A just danced the night away. She couldn't hold still!
(do that have hula classes for 9 month old babies?)

All this dancing inspired my friend Karrie and I - so we have signed up for Hula lessons!

Aloha Friday

I took my girls to the park!!! It was BEAUTIFUL -the weather, the temperature, the girls...
We played for almost 2 hours.
Miss M was in Heaven!

We took pictures by the daffodils, we fed the ducks, we played on the swings, and the sand.
Miss A loves the sand - and I only had to stop her from trying to eat it ONCE.

My Little Climber

Marlee has always been my little climber. Today she showed me some new skills at one of her favorite parks - the "Rock Climbing Park"
She climbed up the rock wall. Glad that I had the camera to capture her big achievement. (Her Uncle Dave would be SO proud!!)

Feeling Good!

Every night as we are tucking Marlee into bed, we ask her "What was your favorite part of the day?" Her responses of course very and it's always great to hear what she comes up with. Yesterday we went on a walk and ended up at a neighborhood park. I was thinking that that was going to be her favorite part of the day, playing at the park. She surprised me by being a bit more specific. "Mommy, my favorite part of the day was you pushing me on the swing!" It hit me how important playing with her is, and just how long it had been since I had felt well enough to push her on a swing. I am so glad that I am finally feeling well! Feeling GOOD! And this week I have made a point of taking Marlee out, even if it is just a little walk. Monday we hit the library, yesterday a walk to a park, and today McDonald's and then off to feed the ducks. It feels SO good, to finally feel GOOD!
