What else we have been up to

Not only am I a bit addicted to the silly farm town game on Face Book, but just about every evening after we put the girls in bed, Keenan sits at the dinning room table to study and Jesica and I pull out the crafts. At first she wasn't so sure about making cards but as you can see she has become quite the little card making (her's are the safari collage). I've had this knack for showing my sisters how to do things and then they just run with it. I love her cute cards! To make me feel better she said, "Um I make 4-8 cards a night and you have done over 20." Ok so I am a little bit faster at making them, but I think that we both make pretty cute cards! Plus it's fun to watch all our Tivo'd shows while we make our crafts. Sometimes we stay up way to late, but I guess we are trying to get it all in before her baby comes.

I have also been making more hair clips for the girls. Now that Miss A finally has hair long enough to put pony tails in its fun to add cute hair bows. (she has started to leave them in a little longer too!) And with all the fun bow choices, I don't mind that Miss M wants her hair done in a pony tail everyday. I even enjoy adding one to my pony tail.

Keenan is doing great in school and really enjoys it. He is almost done with his CNA 10 week course, then he start the fall classes. He also really enjoys is Japanese language class he decided to take. I am very proud of him and what he is accomplishing!

We Thought it was a little TOO Quiet!

That would be Miss A - always getting into things. We thought we heard her waking up from her nap, but then we didn't hear anything. I thought she had just been looking for her pacifier and then went back to sleep. WELL turns out that she was able to reach through her crib and grab Aunt Cuppy's *make up. (and she uses Mac make up!) But that little face was just too cute with pride at her very own make over. Daddy quickly grabbed the camera for her photo shoot.
And Aunt Cuppy was not mad at her for getting into her Mac make up. She just thought it was cute, and felt a little bad that it got all over her bed and stuffed animals and blankets.
But with a little spray and wash it all came out.
Miss A, you are just too cute you little trouble maker!

*Cuppy is what Miss A calls my sister Jesica.

Bubble Fun

It just isn't summer with out bubbles, lots and lots of them. Miss A spots them in in every store we go to. She mostly ends up eating the bubbles or dumping the solution out while she looks for the bubbles. We wised up and bought big containers of bubbles to refill all of our small bottles.
And what would any photo op be with out Miss M and her poses. I love that she has on camo rain boots with her shorts. And yes, Miss A is STILL in her pj's and I have no idea why. Must have been one of those days - I am noticing that Miss M's hair isn't done either.

We Love T-Ball

Miss A is always on the move during Miss M's games. We captured some of her cute moves.
She loves to go go go!

Jesica took these great actions shots of Miss M. This turned out to be her last game because Thursday got rained out. I am glad we got some good action shots. Sure will miss our
evenings at the baseball field. I am so glad that Miss M was able to enjoy summer camp and t-ball this year.

Our walk home after the game. Miss M thought it would be cute to take some shots of Miss A's puppy using the fire hydrant.

Sunday Best and bed rest

Miss M and Miss A letting me take some pictures of them before the headed off to church.
It was cute to watch Miss A try and copy all of here big sisters modeling moves. They are such sweet sisters.

This was the Sunday I was preparing a pot roast to cook while we were at church. As I was cleaning up I dropped my cutting knife, bent over to pick it up and felt these sharp shooting pains all through out my lower back. I thought if I laid down on a heating pad and took some Advil I would be ok. NOPE after about a week of struggling with the pain I finally had Keenan take me to the ER. I wanted to make sure that it was my back and NOT a huge kidney stone stuck. The Doctor decided that it was indeed strained muscles in my lower back and not stones. I was SO glad to hear that! They gave me a shot with in minutes my whole body was relaxed. SO nice : ) They sent me home with more meds and instructions to lay on a heating pad and not to lift, move, carry etc anything. And if the pain was not better by Tuesday to call my regular doctor. Well Tuesday came, and the pain was still there. Wednesday I went in to see my doctor and she thought I probably pulled a tendon as well. So she sent me to get some x-rays. A couple of hours later she called and left a message that yes I had pulled muscles and tendons and was also showing signs of arthritis in my back. YIKES! She put me on a whole new mixture of drugs to help with the spasms, physical therapy and even though she new she was telling this to a mom - not to do ANYTHING if I wanted my back to get better.
I do feel that my back is making some progress, but I still have the spasms. It doesn't hurt to walk like it use to. Time will tell. And that pretty much sums up what I have been doing the past couple of weeks.
Guess it has been a huge blessing to have my little sister staying with us. She is like my own live in nanny!

Summer Camp

At summer camp Miss M had a parade to help celebrate the 4th of July weekend. One of the counselor's did some pretty neat face painting on the kids. Miss M was the ocean.
Miss M enjoys summer camp SO MUCH! I am glad that we were able to get her into a camp. Bonus for us, the camp is right across the street from us. She enjoys all of the activities, crafts, free time, and especially the friends she is making.

T Ball

Miss M started t-ball this summer. She LOVES it. After watching her in just a few games, she is really starting to get the idea of the game. She is good at hitting the ball, running the bases ( in the right order - and I say that because there are some cute little kids, who don't quite get that need to run the bases in order,) and she has a pretty good throw.

This game was on a day that was SO HOT! Miss M hit the ball, and ran ALL THE WAY HOME.
After her big run, she was done playing the game. I don't blame her it was just too hot.

Her adoring fan(s). Miss A LOVES to watch her sister play. We have had to grab her off of the field many a time. After Miss M makes a great play, Miss A wants to run to her for a high five.
She also likes to try on the hats and swing the bat.

Miss M poses for the camera.

4th Celebrations

One evening after looking at my sisters belly, I decided that I wanted to paint a flag on it. And she was nice enough to let me.

Enjoying the town parade. It's so nice of our friends to host a BBQ at their house. Plus they live on the street that the parade marches down. It was raining - but because they have a huge tree in their front yard we kept pretty dry.
I love the 4th of July and celebrating with family and friends.

Green Bay Fun

enjoying the first twinkle cone of the season! When I lived in Green Bay our house was right by the Dairy Inn. They had (and still have) the BEST ice cream cones. They put this delicious concoction of peanuts and sprinkles all over the ice cream. OH, I could go for one right now!
Miss A did NOT like the twinkle. But Miss M was ready for more. Visiting Green Bay is fun.

1. The WOW sign is a Pepsi sign. Miss M loves to spy them where ever we go - this one we were able to stop and get a picture at.
2 and 4. Miss A was eating a Reece's peanut butter cup it melted all over her hands and she decided to rub it in her hair. She smelt pretty yummy!
3 and5. GO PACKERS! I can not believe that I had never taken the girls to have pictures taken in front of the stadium.

by my Granny's house is a great park. I love to take the girls there to play. There is also a little kiddie pool (I played at when I was little I have so many great memories of this park and pool from when I was Miss M's age) it wasn't open yet this trip, but hopefully we will get there later this summer!

How does your garden grow?

While my baby sister is staying with us this summer, we have been looking
for crafty creative outlets. We have had many a late night card making
and watching the Lost seasons. ( I'll post pictures of our cards later -if I remember)
We have had fun going to Home Depot and getting flowers to plant around our back yard.
Our upstairs neighbors have planted a garden and some landscaping. Our backyard
is a lovely little place to relax and enjoy the summer.

Miss A (as seen below) really enjoys helping me water everything.
She mostly waters herself or the dirt to make mud.

I am proud

to be an American.

Every. Single. Time. I hear a patriotic song I get a little teary.

Especially
this one.

Happy 4th of July!
May it be safe, happy, and fun. And may we reflect on our country, what it means to be an American, our freedom, our independence, and those who have and still do protect it.
God Bless the USA.
