B is for Buddy - my buddy and me

these two are the best-est buddies, uh when they get along
I Love how Little G mimics everything Miss A does- if she does it so will he
sometimes resulting in NOT getting along
but she is why he loves twirling, popsicles, silky nightgowns, jumping, sliding, bugs, singing, barbies, and baths.
Who could ask for a better shadow? it's nice to know she will have her own personal body guard when
she is in jr high/high school
he is the reason she loves to dig in dirt, ride a 4 wheeler, play with cars, build lego towers (so he can knock them
over), anything pirate, bugs, cars, trains, cowboys.
I know they are only cousins, but they are the best kind of cousins, the best buddy kind!

S is for Surgery

March 1, 2011

At Miss A's 3 year check up everything went great until the hearing test. She failed, then failed again and again (different follow-ups) We were referred to an Audiologist she failed that screening which then brought us to Dr. Gerber (who came highly recommended with the added bonus that my nephew had just
been to him and had tubes put it). Miss A met with the audiologist first. She did a few different test, Miss A was struggling to hear. She thought of one more thing to try on Miss A. It was a set of head phones
that shot the noise past the middle ear. And ta-da! Miss A could hear. We were so glad to find that
it wasn't permanent ear damage but fluid and other ear gunk not leaving her middle ear.
The surgery was set for March 1.

Here she is in her room - admiring her wrist band.
Daddy putting on her little gown
readjusting because it was too big
Miss A and her nurse Lori
 control of the TV!
 is it time yet?
and after the surgery, not feeling so good coming out of the anesthesia
she kept complaining of her throat and how much it hurt. About a half hour back in her
room, she threw up. Luckily I have cat like reflexes and was able to catch it
in a cup...and again and again.
On our way home - she fell asleep right after these pictures were taken
she spent the next couple of hours curled up on my bed watching t.v. and drifting in and out of sleep (and puking). She was able to take a nice LONG nap in the afternoon and after that she woke up to her sweet little self, no more "Tupperware parties" and could HEAR!!!

Her speech has already come such a LONG way. It's amazing what a little set of ear tubes can do.

Visions Of Sugar Plums Dance in Their Heads

I am grateful for sleepy babies all snuggled up.
I  don't know how they could possibly be comfortable sleeping like that, but they are.

Farmer Farmer what do you see?

I see a Little Girl who is turning THREE!

For Miss A's third birthday we invited her preschool class to meet us at a farm. It is such a wonderful little place where the kids can see real live farm animals, tractors, wagons, crops, up close and personal. It was a beautiful day (thank goodness!) weather was warm and sunny. And the kids had so much fun playing together, hearing Keenan on his Ukulele and Miss A's Grandma reading spooky stories about Skeleton's having hiccups.
Happy Birthday to my "baby"!!!!

Happy BIRTHday Miss A!

Miss A is amazing!

She loves
ponies, pet shop toys, any animal, swimming, taking baths, playing preschool with her animals, coloring, art work, painting, stamping, taking pictures, playing dress up with her BFF Evy, playing barbies with Miss M, playing legos' with Lil G. Loves books, the library, Miss Namcy (Nancy) her preschool teacher. Nursery, and can not wait to be a sunbeam and be in primary with Miss M.

Her favorite songs are, Twinkle Twinkle, Happy Birthday Cha Cha Cha, I Love to see the Temple. Jesus wants me for a Sun-beep (sunbeam), Party in the USA, Old McDonald, The Only Exception (paramore), Soul Sister, Just the way you are.

She can count up to 20 with just mixing up a couple of numbers (she always skips 5 and then adds it in later).
Which I think is funny because whenever she thinks that something is A LOT, she says " It had 5 things, or wow look there are 5 of them..." She says her Abc's and is starting to recognize letters and numbers. Anytime she see's an A or V she thinks it is her name.

She loves to watch Dora, Barbie movies or anything with her sister.

She is always singing a little song, and when at preschool LOVES to paint to classical music. And she is my little dancer.

Lamby is still her favorite lovey in the whole world.

Miss A is kind to others, loves to share but does get frustrated with Lil G when they play together. But they quickly make up and are best friends again. They love to play house and barbies together. Lil G is always the prince.

If she could she would eat rice and seaweed daily and drink yogurt smoothies. She loves 'nacks" (snacks) and usually wants cheese its or a Popsicls or chocolate milk. She would also live at the park if I would let her.

I love to hear her say prayers, she is really learning to say it "from the heart" what her heart tells her she is thankful for. Family, friends, preschool, coloring, books, my cozy bed, that I can pee and poop, and my tummy doesn't hurt.

Miss A has the ability to make others feel so special, she also has no problem making friends with other kids. She might be shy with adults, but when it comes to children she makes herself right at home with them.

Miss A we love love love you and all the happy, crabby, funny, amazing, silly, sassy, wonderful moments you bring to us. Seriously ever time I look at you I fall a little bit more in love. Happy birthday my amazing 3 year old!

Little White Dress (2)

Miss M, Gramz and Miss A
October 2007

Keenan's mom has this amazing little white dress that was made by her grandmother for her mom when she was three years old. Gramz wore it when she was three, all three of Keenan's sisters have worn it at three as well as all of the nieces. NOW it is Miss A's turn. I ADORE this dress!

(I wish I had gotten more pictures like this with Miss M)

A is Adorable

grandma sent an early birthday present to Miss A so she could enjoy it all month. This adorable cat dress! Miss A has LOVED it and worn it at some point each day.

Jesica and I were shopping a few weeks ago for Little D and noticed this cute dress but only saw it in Miss M's size (which I felt Miss M would never wear something like this given the teasing she received over clothes at school last year except now she DOES want it so she can be a cat for Halloween) Jesica and I wanted to get that CUTE dress SO much, but new the larger size would never fit Miss A. It just goes to show that we are more like our mom then we knew SAME taste in clothes for the kids!
See it's true you do turn into your mom... ; )

Bonfire at Wagner Farm

We love to visit Wagner farm. The last Saturday of September they have a big bonfire with story tellers. A corn maze, s'mores, apple cider. It's a fun way to welcome in the fall!(my favorite season)

Miss M and Miss A jumping from the concrete blocks.
I love to watch them play together.

Picking pumpkins! just the right size for Little Dude's hands.

So cute these kids! I know I know they are mine, but I just love them
even when they DO drive me crazy.
I love the picture of Miss A and Little D walking together.

cute kids in the pumpkin patch

and the great bonfire. Miss A is STILL talking about it. Miss M and I went into the corn maze a little bit, but it was getting dark and I wasn't feeling like getting lost.
it was great to see our friends there too (the woman next to K is a Dr. from the ER he works at)
and Miss M is sitting with one of her best friends.

Origami

One afternoon while I was taking a MUCH NEEDED NAP! Keenan showed the girls how to fold origami. They had so much fun and keep asking when they can fold some more. These are the frogs they made, after they were done making them, the had a jumping race to see which frog could jump highest, farthest etc. I was woken up to squeals of excitement.

Do you swim in a pool to keep yourself cool?

Is that what you do? So do I... er, we

UGH, with this heat and humidity there has been nothing to do but be at the pool.
Thank goodness!!!
Anyway, here are some pictures of the girls. Cute little things always posing for the camera. I love that Miss A KNEW to put the pretzels in her mouth to be funny. : ) And Little G really wasn't thrilled with me interrupting his snack time for a photo shoot.

Funny Faces and Dress up

That's what little girls LOVE to do. Couple times a week I babysit this C U T E little girl. Miss E.
The first couple of time Miss A and Miss E were not sure what to do with each other, but here we are months later and they have SO much fun playing. Miss E is very cuddly and enjoys playing with my long hair, which I L O V E! She's much more gentle at brushing my hair than Miss A. You can't really tell that Miss E is wearing a Sleeping Beauty dress, but her faces were pretty cute. Miss A is wearing Khania's dress that she wore when she was a little girl. I loved that she wanted to wear it and that I could get some fun pictures of her in it.

Dora Dora Dora and BOOTS

For Miss A's 2nd birthday I decided to look for a Dora house. They are VERY expensive so thought if I couldn't find one on e-bay or craigs list, we wouldn't be getting one. We did find one on e-bay the seller gave us a great deal, sent the package fed ex so it would be here for her birthday and even threw in a few extra's! TOTALLY AWESOME and a HUGE HIT!!! She still loves to play with it.

Happy Birthday Miss A - you are wonderful and completely fill up our hearts with your sweetness!
