Lot's of Tricking and Treating!

The Ward Halloween paryt which also happened to be on Miss A's birthday!
Miss M, Keenan, Little Dude and I dressed as pirates, Miss A was a Snow White
Princess and Cuppy was a "desperate" house wife! NO she was just a house wife...

THEN we went out for I C E C R E A M to celebrate Miss A some more. The cashier was so smitten with Miss A he let her pick out her own doughnut and then gave her a kiss on the cheek. It was pretty cute.

Thursday we  celebrated with our Preschool class. Miss M came too. It was SO cold, but the kids were troupers smiling away for us crazy parents taking SO many pictures. I guess that is why
Miss A is NOT smiling in the class photo. or any of them for that matter...

Friday was Miss M's class party. I am the room mom so I got to help organize it!!
I had Miss A dress up as a Cat, Little Dude as a dog and Miss M as a vet.
Then, Miss M changed into a nurse and we went and visited Daddy and Aunt Cuppy at work. Instead
of the kids trick or treating at the hospital, we brought treats to them. It was cute to have
Miss M pose with her daddy in the ER.

 Saturday!
Little G was not feeling well (another ear infection) so he and Cuppy stayed home, while
we took the girls to the Farmers Market. They could trick or treat at all the different
vendors and got to pick out a pumpkin to doctorate. Miss M painted a pirate
pumpkin Miss A Toothless dragon from "how to train your dragon"

But WAIT we are not done with our Saturday yet...
we headed up to Glencoe to trick or treat at the shops in their little down town area.

It has been our tradition for 6 years now. Miss M dressed up as a nurse again, so she could be warm and Miss A was a fairy witch.

We ended our day off at Mc Donalds! The girls were super excited.
Miss A took pictures of her new kitty Gloria.
*here is the story behind Gloria. This past summer Miss A started asking
if I had seen her kitty, I asked her where she last saw her cat thinking we could retrace steps.
We all looked high and low, no kitty to be found. I soon caught on we were looking for
an IMAGINARY kitty. Gwowia aka Gloria. I asked her what she looked like then maybe that would help me to know what to look for. Gloria is a little purple kitty.
We later found her on my bed taking a little cat nap.
I shared this story with my friend and she found a purple kitty for Miss A's birthday.
Now, Gloria and Gworia go everywhere with us.

Its fun to have so many dress up clothes, everyone kept changing their coustumes.
so FOR HALLOWEEN
Miss A dressed as the Fairy witch (not the cat, not snow white)
Miss M dressed as the Cat (not the princess not the pirate not the nurse/vet)
Little Dud was a Pumpkin (not a dog not a pirate)
Cuppy was A punk Pirate (not desperate)

 and finally HALLOWEEN!
We went trick or treating with our neighbors aka Teenage Mutant Niga Turtles. Keenan decorated our front
porch in piratey fashion and dressed up as Captain Jack.
All around our neighborhood lot's of people get into the spirit of Halloween,
my favorite block we went down even the adults were dressed up. It's like
right out of one of those kids Halloween movies. It is now my new favorite street!
Anyway, one of our closer neighbors always goes way out to decorate and dress up for Halloween.
The "Spook-s-dook's" this year he was the Mad Hatter and TOTALLY in character!
Keenan had his picture taken with the OTHER Johny Depp character.

We HEART Halloween!!! And glad there are so many fun things to do as a family.

Kanikapila

I love it (yes I do!) when family comes to visit. I might go a little crazy thinking about my house bursting at the seams with not a single space for ONE MORE THING and embarrassed about the clutter. But I get over it and just open my doors for whom ever. SO we were so excited when we heard that UNCLE KANDON was coming to visit us!!! We stayed up WAY to late, had WAY too much fun but we would do it again in a heartbeat.

 Eileen and Jesica
*Cute Miss A Story
Miss A was asleep by the time Keenan and Kandon got home, and was pretty shy when she saw a "strange" man in the house who kind of looked like daddy. So I explained to her that Kandon was daddy's brother. Uncle Kandon, she warmed up to him.
Later Keenan asked Miss A pointing to Kandon "Who is this?"
Miss A: "He's yours"
I asked: "yours what?"
Miss A: "your brother"
then I asked: "who is mommy's brother?"
Miss A: "um (pointing her finger to her chin and tapping) Uncle David!" (looking at me like how could I not know that Dave was my brother!)
Then I asked: "Who is Mommy's sister?" (I thought this would TOTALLY be easy with you know Jesica living with us and all...
Miss A placed her thinking finger back up to her chin and thought, and thought then FINALLY said
"OH, um EILEEN!!!"
And yes, she is like a little sister to me and we love her!

We Heart Wagner Farm

I can not believe that I have lived here for 11 years and this is the very first time I have visited this fun little farm! The girls had SO much fun. I am glad that we went and hope to make this bonfire an annual tradition in our family to kick off the fall.
What a perfect way to bring in the autumn.

Enjoying the "Wild Life"

Cutest little monkeys ever

Keenan followed this turtle around - and got some great pictures. Turtles are my favorite.

Monk seal at the aquarium
Miss A LOVED it

saying hi to the little puffer fish. Miss M's "Little Buddy"
huge fish and sharks in this tank at the aquarium

Miss M holding the hermit
crab - she is still very proud of herself

me holding the same crab - also very proud of myself for not freaking out and dropping it!

Fish Kisses

cute little girls above and below!
Aunty Kay found a crab and brought it back for us to look at.
This is Miss M and a couple of her cousins.Stacy and I were laying on the beach chatting when I saw this little thing poke it's head up.
I quickly tossed my camera to Stacy to get some pictures. Later we (miss M and I) got brave enough to see if it would move. After several pokes, it got up pretty fast.
I am sure you could hear my scream all over the island as it ran sideways towards Stacy.

We also saw lots of cockroaches. I did have a couple of pictures.
(but won't share them here)
I thought of the smaller ones as the cute little friend to WALL-E.
But didn't care for the others so much.
I can do with out the roaches.

As we wake up to yet another rainy day...

I am thinking about this and wishing I was there on the beach...

oh sunny beautiful Hawaii, how I miss you

Hopping Down the Bunny Trail Part 3

April 12, 2009

As tradition goes we had our little egg hunt in our back yard. The E B left some eggs filled with goodies to be hidden. They both had a great time finding the eggs. And Miss A even held off opening them until they were all found. I think Miss M's favorite were the lighting McQueen and nail polish filled eggs. Oh and the pet shop toys. Miss A just wanted to open them all.

Waiting to go out side - Miss A likes to put anything on her head.

Love Miss M's shades (she picked them out herself and got them with her own money!)
they are so good at helping each other out. I hope
they are always good friends!
hmm, I think I need some better shades, Miss M's are WAY cuter!
(I had to go cheap because I went through 5 sunglasses in three months no thanks to Miss A)

Hooray, nail polish and it's YELLOW!
(later she did say she wished she would have gotten and indigo one too)

Thanks Miss M for taking this cute picture

Happy St. Patty's day to ya!

We had a wonderful St. Patty's day! The weather couldn't have been more beautiful!
74 degrees - we will take it ANY DAY!
We met some friends at a park and enjoyed the weather.
I made a pot roast for dinner - sorry K, no corn beef for you...

When we were getting ready to leave the park, Miss A walked into a bush and really poked her eye, of course it happens right before we take a family photo. But it turned out OK anyway.

Hope your St. Patty's day was spectacular!
