Wee Little One

Along with getting Miss M ready and off to kindergarten - there has been another big change in our life. My sister Jesica has been living with us since June. On August 21 she had her baby boy.
It's so wonderful to have a baby in the house. Although he being so tiny makes my "baby" not so baby anymore - but really a toddler now. It also takes that baby hunger away. I get all the joys of having a baby during the day - but at night I am fast asleep.

Miss M LOVES to snuggle with J-mo any chance she can get. Their favorite time together is bed time. They love to fall asleep together. It's a treat to go in and peak at them to watch just how close they can snuggle into each other.

Miss A doesn't mind the baby so much. Although she hasn't liked her Aunt Cuppy (my sister Jescia) too much since she brought that baby home. She is very sweet to J-mo and always tries to comfort him when he is crying. Bringing him a pacifier, or her favorite stuffed animal, rocking his swing, playing music for him -she has even tried to change his diaper every now and then.

Miss M and Baby O

Saturday evening we headed out to my sisters house to meet Baby Owen.
OH he is just the tiniest thing! And the sweetest thing! Miss M was SO cute holding him. She is a natural! My sister got a little sick while we were there, so we helped put Baby O to bed.
Miss M sang I am a child of God and I Love to see the Temple to him, he fell right to sleep in her arms. Really it was just such a tender moment!

Introducing

Owen David

My New Nephew!
he was born Sunday June 8 at 8:50 pm
7lbs 6oz 20 1/2 inches long

He arrived three weeks early, my brother in law was in California when my sister went
into labor. Of all the scenarios we thought out - the husband gone away on a trip was supposed to happen to me Not to my sister!
He made it in time, was not delayed by all the horrible weather.
And my sister (although I know she was grateful to have me there) was SUPER happy to see her husband! We are so happy for their new little addition. And I can't wait to hold him when he comes out of the NICU! (he's in the NICU because he is a premature baby)

Bumbo

I didn't have one of these for Marlee, but I have to say I really think this Bumbo is pretty handy. Ava likes it especially when she can be right there with us. (how ever there has been a safety recall not to use the bumbo on any elevated area - so we will just make sure to not put her in it on top of the table and then leave her unattended!)

Little Friends

I thought this was a sweet picture of Evelyn (daughter of this mommy) and Ava. Evelyn just LOVES babies, she has quite the collection of dolly's. She is just so sweet around Ava. She loves to give her, her bottle. She loves to rock her in her car seat. She also is so good at showing Ava all sorts of her fun toys.
This IS the start of a beautiful friendship.

Tiny Hands

I just love looking at my new baby. I love smelling her and holding her little hands. I love that she is still so scrunchy. Even if she keeps me up all night long, I love that I get to hold her. I love her smile,(and for the moment) I even love her little cry.

Little Mommy

Yesterday, I was feeling pretty good, and decided to clean up around the house. (not like deep cleaning, but picking things up, putting things away). My mind is so scattered, I think it has to do with so little sleep and the fact that our house is as hot as a tropical island! (that is what happens I guess when our thermostat controls the heat for both apartments.) I kept jumping from task to task, often forgetting why I was going into a room. I asked Marlee so many times yesterday what I was doing. She thought it was pretty funny that her mommy was loosing her mind. Good thing I have such a good helper. As I was folding laundry in my room, Marlee came in and said "Mommy, just so you know, I just changed Ava's diaper and it was very poopy!" All sorts of images ran through my mind as I thought of how my three year old just changed my almost 3 week old's diapers. I said "that's great Marlee thank you for helping Mommy!" as I tried to calmly walk to the living room. There was little Ava on the couch just as happy as can be with a clean diaper almost on and the dirty diaper next to her.
Then Marlee says to me "I really think that you should give her a bath she was pretty poopy." Marlee heads off to the bathroom, to fill Ava's little tub. Gets ready to take a bath with her. Marlee just amazes me, she is such a little mommy! She just LOVES her baby!! I love that she can comfort Ava, get her to stop crying. She loves to sing to her and even "read" to her. She has little foot stools all over the house to grab when she needs to peak into
the bassinet or the cradle to help her little sister. She is always asking if she can feed her. And she also wants Ava to sleep with her at night, so she can take care of her...wouldn't that be nice!

On our way home from the hospital we stopped by
my friend's house. She had just had her little boy
the week before, and I had not had a chance to see
them yet. So, our little's got together for their
very first play date!!

Dr. Andy gave little bear the ok to come home!

Little Bug was so excited to meet her sister.

Always asking how she is, making sure
she has her pacifier, she also likes to feed her a bottle, for a few minutes at least. Little Bear loves her big sister. In fact, I can put this screaming little baby
next to Little Bug at night and Little Bear will stop crying. It's just amazing!
