Lucky Enough

A few weeks ago I blogged about how I am not very lucky when it comes to winning things
(not including the time I put a nickel in a slot machine in Reno when I was 19 and then all of a sudden lights and whistles start going off JACK POT, won $250 in nickles - now that's a lot of change. Or the time I put some money on 3 on the roulette table again, under age and WON - so maybe when it comes to things I shouldn't be doing I am lucky??? hmmm won't be sharing that with my daughter any time soon!)
ANYWAY, back to my story I am not very lucky when it comes to entering contests.

Since blogging about it I have entered many a give-a-way on blogs around the blog-o-sphere and have yet to win anything. However, my sister (LOVE HER! and not because she gets me pretty things...) But, saw the post and decided to let me pick out a little necklace just for me and just because.
And it came in the mail TODAY!!! I LOVE it.
Hooray for Good Mail!
I chose the Layers of sentiment... which is one that I had not noticed, but my sister pointed it out. I loved the little feet which made me think of little bare feet on the sand, and then the sample also had Hawaiian names on it, and well that just sealed the deal! Had to have the girls Hawaiian names put on it.

Today is my Sisters B-day!
She Makes me laugh!
I mean really laugh (almost pee my pants laugh)
there is nothing better than that!

A Wicked Night Out!

My sister and I enjoyed a girls night out down town. We ate a yummy dinner at Flat Top.
Then headed over to see WICKED!
We were in the 7th row. It was AWESOME!
There is NOTHING like seeing it up close and personal.

I recently heard a song - which is a new favorite of mine. And like a lot of songs they tend to bring me back to a memory instantly. This song made me think of my big sister and how she taught me hand clapping games (you know saying a cute little song/rhyme with a rhythm as you clap your hands together). I still sing this little song and it always brings me back to the times she and I would play those hand games. I can't wait to teach this to my little girls and hope that they too will have wonderful memories that I have of my big sister and the beautiful friendship we have together now!

Sister, Sister

Right from the beginning, the minute Marlee understood that we were having
a baby, she KNEW it was going to be a sister and she loved her right away.
Every morning she would crawl into bed with me and talk to
the baby. I LOVED this ritual. I Love that they
have this bond, this love for each other.
When Ava hears Marlee's voice she instinctively lunges toward the sound.
She Loves to watch Marlee, she loves to talk with Marlee,
she loves to snuggle, cuddle, play and admire.
I LOVE having my owns sisters and the wonderful friendships I have with them.
I am so thankful that Marlee and Ava will have that too.
