Slippy is 10 months old!

Where is this year going? Why is she getting too big too fast!?!

Miss A had her 10 month check up (should have been at 9 months but Dr. Andy was busy)
Miss A weighs 20 pounds and is 29 1/4 inches long.
(Miss M at 9 months was 17 pounds and 28 1/2 inches long)

Slippery can do many things.

• She loves to blow kisses (with the back of her hand)

• she will tell you she is all done by waving both hands in the air

• she loves to wave hello and good bye, especially to Daddy.

• When we go to get her from her crib we are always greeted with a HUGE smile and a 'Hi'

• She has two teeth - and she loves to have them brushed.

• She loves to look at books, especially ones with pictures of animals.

• When you ask for a kiss she will lean in - mouth wide open and plant one on you with a sound effect too.

• She will only eat real people food - no more baby food, and if you try to feed it to her she will wave her hands telling you "all done" or she will spit it out

• She still LOVES her Lamby

• She loves to investigate everything - and it still goes into her mouth
  

• she loves soda (really this kid takes after me, chocolate, blogging, talking on the phone, playing on the computer listening to music) - oh and Don't tell Daddy she drinks soda

• She loves to walk, but when you let go of her she will only crawl

• She loves to clap her hands and play patty cake and peek-a-boo

6 Month Update

Miss A 6 months old - April 2008

Here are Miss A's 6 month stats... and I have compared them with Miss M's 6 month stats


Miss A's weight 17 lbs. 6 oz (75%)
Miss M was 14 lbs 14 oz (25%)

Miss A's height 26 1/2 inches (75%)
Miss M was 25 3/4 inches (75%)

Miss A's head circumference 16 3/4 (50%)
Miss M's was 16 3/8 (25%)

5 Months Old 3/23/08

Miss A likes to eat - not just her bottle, but what ever she can get her hands on. She also likes to put anything and everything in her mouth. She enjoys eating baby food - prunes and sweet potatoes are her favorite. Drinking water from a glass. She loves Miss M - I know I have mentioned this before, but she just loves to watch her big sister where ever she is - and especially enjoys it when Miss M plays with her, sings to her, reads to her.

She likes it when I sing to her too. I was beginning to think something was wrong with her, because when ever she would see me or I would hold her she would start rocking side to side. Then my mom realized as soon as I would start singing "rock my baby" she would be even more happy - and rock even more. Guess she just wanted me to sing. It's amazing how well a baby can communicate! Since we didn't see a doctor this month, I don't have her stats. But sometimes after holding her awhile I feel she weighs 30 pounds!

She LOVES to pull hair! Snuggle, play in her jumper and her activity saucer...

Miss A can sit, grab at anything, and she can roll over!!!

She is quick to smile, loves to laugh - especially for Miss M! Love, I mean LOVES her lamby and is super good about sleeping in her crib - now if I could get her to not want that 5 am bottle we would be in business! We just love her more and more every day!

4 Months Old 2/23/08

I can't believe it, Miss A is FOUR MONTHS OLD!!!

She loves tummy time
She loves to go to sleep on her own - why is it so much easier to sleep train your 2nd child?
She loves to eat - rice, oatmeal, sweet potatoes and bananas
She puts anything in her mouth, especially her hands or your fingers
She loves her big sister - she just lights up whenever she sees her
same goes for her Daddy - but she still is a Mama's girl!
She Laughs!
She loves her activity saucer
She loves to listen to the Mo-tab
She loves to hear me sing Rock my baby - she just coos and smiles all through the song!
She likes to sit up
She loves people, she just has big smiles for anyone
She can hold her own bottle
Lamby is her favorite lovey, she needs it to sleep (that and ducky)

25 3/4 in. long
