Miss A is a VERY oral baby - everything goes into her mouth, doesn't matter what. Today while I was packing the diaper bag - getting ready for work I had a strong feeling to check on Miss A. Good thing I did - in her mouth was a little bag of silica. The ones found in packages of shoes, beef jerky - I guess it is to keep things fresh? Where did she find that!?!?!
So after scooping it out of her mouth and feeling around to make sure I had gotten it all out, I called Poison Control (just in case you need it the number is 1-800-222-1222). The nice calm man reassured me that she was perfectly fine, they are not toxic the concern is more that it is a choking hazard.
PHEW!
He then had to fill out a report on the incident , I expect them to be showing up at my door anytime,
guess I won't be winning that mother of the year award this year...
