Celebrate Good Times!

Hooray for Keenan! He passed his state CNA exam. And to celebrate the occasion Aunt Jesica treated us to Chile's YUM! As you can see from the pictures the girls really
enjoyed their mac n cheese and broccoli.
Keenan we are super proud of you!!

July 3 adventures

Wilmette has their fireworks on the 3rd of July. It's kind of nice that way - you get more 4th of July celebrations in!
We went over to our friends house for a little bbq then walked to the beach and enjoyed the fireworks (I STILL have sand in my stroller)

Here are some pictures that I took (when I finally found my camera...)

Easter

We had many Easter activities this week! Starting last weekend with a sing-a-long get together at our neighborhood community building. It was a fun way to kick off the Easter festivities. We met up with our friends there, Geoff, Elizabeth and Daniel. Miss M had lot's of fun dancing around with them and Miss A got to meet the "Easter Bunny".

Thursday - my mom flew in from SLC. We love it when she comes to visit us. And as always I had a million and one things going on while she was here. I have a new calling at church - serving in the relief society. We had an enrichment activity that night. As luck would have it K also flew home in time to help with the kids not just ours, but other sisters in the church who needed a babysitter. It was a fun evening of doing a couple service projects, celebrating the Relief Society's 166th birthday and visiting with the other women in the church.

Friday we went to our friends house for a oh so yummy tortilla soup (so great after all the snow)
and filled the eggs for our egg hunt Saturday morning - Stacy or shall I call her Martha Stewart had Bunny cakes for us to decorate and cookies - I think I ate too many cookies and had a sugar headache...(the pics of Miss M's bunny cake are in the slide show)

Saturday evening (after I finished writing my talk for sacrament meeting) We had fun decorating eggs - I love doing this with Miss M - she is so creative! And Miss A enjoyed trying to eat one of the eggs too.
(pictures are our of order - the egg hunt happened before we dyed our eggs...)

This week my friends and I planned the Nursery Easter egg hunt - in spite of the 6 inches of snow that was dropped in a couple of hours on Friday, we were still able to have the hunt - we just moved it inside. I love a good egg hunt, working with fabulous friends and kids and having a very successful activity! Thanks so much to all those who helped out, for all the great food, the conversation with friends and the cute little kids!
(Wish i had a picture of my girlfriends who I did this activity with - couldn't find my camera AGAIN!)

Miss A had a great time too - sitting in the egg bin and gumming the plastic eggs to her hearts content!

Here we are checking out Miss M's finds

Miss M and Miss A enjoying the egg bin together

Easter Sunday, K and I sang in the ward choir I also spoke in sacrament meeting. I was super nervous, yet glad for the opportunity to speak in church. Preparing my talk reminded me of the true meaning of Easter, the Savior and what He did for us.
Miss M and Miss A wore matching dresses - these dresses belonged to my niece and the little girl I use to nanny. From 8 years ago! Who knew that 1. I would end up with both dresses 2. I would have two girls and 3. that they would be able to wear the dresses - they looked super cute if I say so myself!

To avoid making our busy Sunday morning even more crazy - the Easter Bunny came while we were at church - When we came home Miss M was so excited to see her basket full of goodies this year the EB brought lot's of books! EB must have hit a Schloastic book fair!
Miss M LOVES all the books especially the I Spy early readers...Miss A enjoyed her new toys and her baby food - is the EB smart or what!!! *these pictures are also on the slide show...
Then on to the feast...
we had an oh so good dinner prepared by many hands! It was so great to spend this
holiday with friends.

Hope you and your loved ones had a wonderful Easter too!

Because we had SOOO many pictures and I could not post them all, I made a
slide show enjoy!!
