B is for Big Boy Bed

We finally decided after many attempts of Little G trying to climb out of his crib and getting his leg or foot stuck that it was time to take the crib down. And we wanted to avoid him actually being able to climb out and end up  on the dresser (like Miss A did) or on the floor (like Miss M did).
  

 

Mr. K had LOTS of helpers.

 

For a while we just had the mattress on the floor (very Montessori of us I know!)

BUT THEN, Mr. K found this amazing bed on Craig's list for Little G.

AND CUTE bedding - that was Miss M's. (she was a HUGE fan of Cars Cars and Granma had

made this cute bedding for her).

HE LIKES IT! AND he actually sleeps in it at night : )

Our new little hide-a-way

Saturday was a busy day for us, well for Keenan. He painted our bedroom! HOORAY no more lavender (I mean it's a pretty color for the two little girls that were in the bedroom before us...)
but we needed a change! Especially with our gray wintery weather, it is so nice to have a room that is bright, clean and calm and a place we want to be in and relax! Here are some pictures.
I will take some more when it's complete, I have a list of more things to be done...
paint my dresser, get pictures for the walls, throw pillows and blanket, just-for-show candles and then we can call it good!

But there is just SOMETHING about a fresh coat of paint!

don't ask me about my junk er I mean my craft desk...I'll save that for another day...
