Happy Father's Day

Here are pictures from Fathers Day.
Keenan got some great "toys" for his CNA course. The girls thought it was pretty neat to use a Real stethoscope - not just a fisher price one : )
Happy Father's Day Keenan!

We also celebrated my nephew's 1st birthday out at my sisters. It was great to get together with them. Happy Birthday Owen. You big one year old!!

Father's Day

I can't say that this has ever been a favorite holiday of mine. Not having a father figure in my life never made this holiday special and something I DIDN'T look forward too. It has always made me a bit sad. Especially seeing daughters with their GREAT dads. And hearing about the great things their dads did and do. Also Father's day is on a Sunday and I go to church and that always meant, primary kids get up and sing "Daddy's Homecoming" (click here to listen to it) fun crafts are made in primary and lessons on Dad's. It's all kind of hard when you don't have that great figure in your life. Now this is not to say I didn't have great men who cared for me while I was growing up, because I did, but somehow it was just not the same.
I think that is why it was so important to me to make sure the man I married was going to be a great dad. And you know what he is! And now for my two girls, I enjoy this holiday.

And today - even though we didn't think he would be here, Daddy made it home and Miss M got to spoil him with all the gifts she made or picked out for him. We enjoyed a dinner and show at the Tiki Terrace. (I know I know it is Sunday...) but It was a great Father's Day and I hope that Daddy K enjoyed himself! OH and while we were eating Miss A showed off her new trick to Daddy over and over again "how big is Miss A? SOOOO BIIIG!"
(throwing those cute chubby little arms way up over her head)
And she also could NOT stop moving to all the Hawaiian music tonight - I think she
enjoyed the show more than anyone!
Daddy K, we love you! Thank you for being a GREAT dad!
And making this day special for me too.
